Yes, it's true. The wonderful website Pinterest is making it very difficult not to bake every single dessert and food item I stumble upon. If you have a Pinterest you know what i'm talking about. Almost everyone has a "board" with food or desserts or anything edible for that matter! If I see a picture of food I can't just keep scrolling down the page, it calls me. Food (even pictures of food) is my weakness, specifically desserts. I mean how can someone see a recipe for "White Chocolate Truffle Cupcakes" or "Carrot Cake Cheesecake" and not drool!

As you can see, I have a bit of an obsession for food. So it shouldn't surprise you that when I recently assigned to write a praise poem about something (anything) I chose food. I know I could have gone many other ways with this poem, and no food is not my god, but I thought it was a comical and creative way to express my love for dessert. x)
So here it is! My original poem titled, "Praise for Dessert"

Praise be to God for Peanut Butter Fudge;
Whether it is sinful or not, I’ll let him be the judge.
Smooth and dreamy on my tongue,
as soon as I ate it my taste buds sung.
With the perfect balance between nutty and sweet,
I’ll never say no to this delicious treat.
Praise be to God for Campfire S’mores;
After your first one, you’ll keep wanting more.
Taking a bite, chocolate dribbles down,
If desserts were royalty this one deserves the crown.
Ooey gooey marshmallows all over your fingers,
This camping treat is a ding, ding, dinger.
Praise be to God for Fudge Brownie Sundaes;
they can make anything better, even dreaded Mondays.
Warm fudge brownie piled high with ice cream,
I pinch myself to see if it’s real or only a dream.
Mounds of whipped cream with caramel on top,
if this is all a dream I hope it never stops.
